Bovine lactoferrin promotes hair growth
We examined how bovine lactoferrin (bLF) impacts hair growth and the behavior of dermal papilla (DP) cells, crucial for hair follicle health. The study revealed that bLF boosts the proliferation of DP cells in mice, showing positive results in both young and aged subjects. We observed that this effect involves critical signaling pathways, including Erk/Akt and Wnt. However, these findings are based on animal studies, and more research is needed to determine if bLF can effectively treat hair loss in humans.

Colostrum exosomes aid hair regrowth
We examined the use of exosomes from bovine colostrum as a promising new treatment for hair loss. These exosomes were shown to stimulate the growth of dermal papilla (DP) cells, which play a crucial role in hair follicle development.

In animal tests, colostrum-derived exosomes led to significant hair regrowth, similar to traditional treatments like minoxidil, but without side effects like skin rashes. Importantly, these exosomes also promoted the vital transition from the telogen (resting) phase to the anagen (growth) phase of hair. Overall, the findings suggest that colostrum-derived exosomes could be a valuable non-surgical option in hair loss therapies.

We examined the relationship between lactoferrin and hair loss among individuals recovering from COVID-19. In a group of one hundred patients experiencing telogen effluvium, we found that those taking dietary supplements, including lactoferrin, reported better outcomes compared to controls.

Although the serum ferritin levels were lower for patients, they did not indicate a definitive iron deficiency. Importantly, our findings suggest that rather than being detrimental, supplements like lactoferrin may help prevent post-COVID hair loss specifically, while certain medications might negatively impact hair regrowth.

This product helped with hair loss. My hair fell out terribly, just strands; it was distressing to see. I ordered iron from Solaray along with proline/lysine and lactoferrin. After four days, hair loss noticeably reduced, and after two weeks, it nearly stopped. According to test results during an incomplete course, ferritin rose from 29 to 77.

My sister tried two pills daily with iron and vitamin C. Within two weeks, her hair loss stopped and her iron stores increased. I am just trying it myself and hope my comment is helpful to others.

Lactoferrin improves hair loss and has reduced my dry eyes, which is fantastic! However, the price could be more affordable.

Filling in gaps

I have a week of use now. I take a pill daily and it's going well for my severe iron deficiency that caused hair loss. The gaps are filling, even though I use a hair spray infrequently. We will see the results after 3 months, God willing. The capsule size is large, but it has no smell and dissolves quickly.

Reduced hair loss
The quality of the vitamins is excellent. I take them daily, and I've noticed less hair loss after a month. I would recommend this product!

Following the doctor’s advice, I purchased this supplement from Jarrow Formulas, lactoferrin. I have iron deficiency anaemia; my levels are very low, leading to weakness, lethargy, and hair loss. After taking it along with iron, my health improved dramatically within a month, with normal test results and better well-being. There are definite benefits, and I liked it.

Iron absorption boost

The product is excellent. I take a pill every day due to severe iron store depletion causing hair loss. It has begun to fill in the blanks. I expect to see results after 3 months, God willing. It is suitable for increasing iron absorption and raising iron levels in the body. The capsule is slightly large but has no odour and dissolves quickly.
